Wednesday night music series: Corky and Ken Lively

MONTAGUE — The First Congregational Church of Montague (4 North St.) continues its Wednesday night summer music series of free concerts on the church lawn on July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

This week’s concert features Corky and Ken Lively. They will perform a mix of oldies and light rock. The concert is held outdoors; please wear a mask or facial covering and practice social distancing.

There will be a drawing for a lottery tree. Tickets will be sold at each concert and the winner will be announced at the final concert.

Please note the concert is held only if weather permits.

Sunday in Halifax

HALIFAX, Vt. — The Halifax Union Society will meet for a service by teleconference this Sunday, July 12, at 5 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Marcia Dorey’s topic will be the Old Testament prophet Hosea. The society is meeting remotely at this time as our building in Halifax Center is closed due to COVID-19. Sunday: Worship outdoors

NORTHFIELD — The Community Bible Church will hold an outdoor service at 24 Main St. in Northfield this Sunday, July 11, at 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend. You may find a socially distanced space on the lawn or under the tent, or remain in your car and listen by radio at AM1500. The 30-minute service will included music, prayer, Scripture reading and a Bible lesson.

Shelburne: First Congregational Church

SHELBURNE — The First Congregational Church of Shelburne will provide a written worship resource and video for home use this Sunday, July 12. The Rev. Robert Gormbley will post it on the church website (www.shelburnechurch.org). There are also seven Chapel Moments that are available via the website.
