Monday, April 15

7:56 a.m. — Fire Department requested to Park Villa Drive for a fire on top of a stove.

Tuesday, April 16

7:55 a.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls Road states there is some sort of unattended fire with heavy smoke coming from the backyard. House is not on fire. No one is at the residence.

8:32 a.m. — Walk-in requesting to speak with an officer. States the neighbor who called authorities for a smoke investigation has been harassing her and her mother for years and she would like to file charges if possible. States the smoke was coming from a pellet stove within the house. Reporting party was advised of her options.

1:24 p.m. — Reporting party states there are construction vehicles and tractor-trailer trucks driving by every 10 minutes on Main Street and Turners Falls Road that are using their engine brakes. He would like an officer to let them know they aren’t allowed to do this, and then call him back to let him know the issue has been taken care of as it’s “disturbing his peace.” Officer advised.

Wednesday, April 17

2:56 p.m. — Reporting party states her son was at Unity Park and an older gentleman went up to him, asked for his phone number and offered him a job. Caller thinks this is very inappropriate and wants the man talked to and removed from the area. Described as being in his 70s, wearing a hat, a blue backpack with a fishing pole, jeans and a navy jacket. Officers advised.

Thursday, April 18

10:52 a.m. — Reporting party on Lake Pleasant Road would like it on record that the night before at around 7:30 p.m., an older, beat-up van (tan in color) pulled up to her house and the driver started asking her questions about how to connect water and electricity to houses there. The man reportedly left after her husband came outside. Services rendered.

12:11 p.m. — Employee from Park Villa Apartments on Park Villa Drive reports a Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) bus struck a pole on their property and damaged it. The bus is currently stuck there and blocking the main entrance to the property. Report taken.

4:17 p.m. — Caller states his son and two friends were at Unity Park yesterday and an older male was trying to get them to come play video games with him. Man also offered to pay them to clean his house. Officer advised.

8:44 a.m. — Caller states her four-wheeled wagon/cart has gone missing from behind her apartment on Fourth Street.

12:07 p.m. — Caller states there are little pieces of sharp metal all over Industrial Boulevard near Lightlife Foods, Ja’Duke Center for the Performing Arts and Franklin County Technical School. Three employees have gotten flat tires. Officer reporting hundreds if not thousands of sharp metal fragments covering the road. Road may need to be partially shut down. Trail of metal debris appears to start at a company called Duravent. A large amount of the same metal pieces are near the corner of Millers Falls Road and Industrial Boulevard.

3:35 p.m. — Caller on Central Street states he had a package delivered by UPS and it was stolen.

Saturday, April 20

3:44 p.m. — Hit and run reported at 253 Farmacy on Millers Falls Road. No damage to vehicle. Parties discussed the incident in the parking lot prior to their leaving the scene. Report taken.

7:26 p.m. — Caller reports there is something in the middle of the road on Seventh Street. Orange in color, covered by a blanket with a possible leg sticking out of it. Upon arrival, officer discovered the unknown object was a jacket.

Sunday, April 21

12:50 p.m. — Reporting party states a red motorcycle has been parked on Fourth Street in the same spot for months. Caller states the plates are expired by two years and believes the motorcycle might be abandoned. Officer called the number in house for the registered owner, who states she will renew the registration and move the motorcycle off the road.
