Montague, Feb. 9

4:25 p.m. — Center Street caller reporting their house filled with smoke after starting the wood stove. Montague Center Fire Department requested. Reporting party called back to say smoke detectors won’t shut off.

4:42 p.m. — Car slid off the road and hit a telephone pole near Hillside Plastics on Millers Falls Road. Police and fire departments responding. No injuries, minor damage to vehicle. No damage to pole. Rau’s requested to pull vehicle out of snow. Vehicle able to drive away.

Greenfield, Feb. 10

8:08 a.m. — Report of a hit-and-run accident on Leyden Road. Truck rear-ended by black Nissan Maxima with Indiana plates. Nissan continued north without stopping. Nissan into snow bank, unoccupied. Across from Leyden Woods Lane.

Greenfield, Feb. 16

6:30 p.m. — Andrew W. Schmidt, 27, of Chapman Street in Greenfield, was arrested for criminal harassment, intimidation of a witness/juror/police/court official and trespassing.

Greenfield, Feb. 17

2:18 p.m. — Caller at Hillside Park reporting broken beer bottles on splash pad area. Message left for DPW.

8:30 p.m. — Donald Wright, 55, of Birch Street in Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-liquor over .08 percent (third offense) and OUI-liquor with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater.

Montague, Feb. 17

1:06 p.m. — Scottie Payne, 55, of Fifth Street in Turners Falls, was arrested for possession of a Class E drug and driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Greenfield, Feb. 18

4:10 p.m. — Report of lost keys on burgundy lanyard with white key swipe card near the medical office building on Riddell Street.

Montague, Feb. 18

4:18 p.m. — Car into tree. Driver out of vehicle. Gray Toyota pickup truck. No injuries. Rau’s on scene for tow.

4:51 p.m. — Fourth Street caller reports bike stolen from his porch. Black road bike, a Raleigh Capri, with black and white camouflage handle bars.

7:07 p.m. — Driver on Greenfield Road reports he went off the road, struck a snow bank and struck his head. Silver Chevrolet Silverado. No airbag, no steam, smoke or fluids. AMR ambulance requested. Not available. Requested Turners Falls Ambulance. Shelburne Control requested to tone Montague Center Fire Department. Rau’s on scene for tow.

7:44 p.m. — One-car accident, vehicle off the road, struck wires, near Hillside Plastics on Millers Falls Road. Four occupants out of the vehicle. Eversource en route. Rau’s requested for tow.

Greenfield, Feb. 19

7:01 p.m. — Carole A. Rau, 42, of Old Greenfield Road in Deerfield, was arrested on a warrant. Shawn M. Scully, 55, of Wells Street in Greenfield, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and for failure to use care while starting, stopping, backing or turning.

Montague, Feb. 19

10:32 a.m. — One-car accident on sharp corner on Lake Pleasant and Old Northfield roads. No injuries. Called place to DPW. Two juvenile passengers in vehicle at time of accident. Driver walked kids home, then went back to the scene.

Greenfield, Feb. 20

10:41 p.m. — Nicholas W. Aldrich, 39, of Main Street in Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-liquor over .08 percent (second offense) and no inspection sticker.

Montague, Feb. 20

10:25 a.m. — Man received two fake checks in the mail. Bank told him they were fraud.

12:51 p.m. — Caller reports a suspicious man knocked on his door claiming to be a representative from Eversource. Party called Eversource to confirm and they reported they did not send him. Person did not furnish solicitation permit. Did not see man’s vehicle. Reported he walked down the street.

Greenfield, Feb. 23

9:47 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle on Federal Street. Located and disposed of.

10:31 a.m. — Report of two men shoplifting at Walgreen’s at 5 Pierce St. Located men near Goly’s on Federal Street. Parties returned to store to attempt to swipe EBT card again to complete transaction. EBT card would not go through. Paid cash for two Gatorades and a Slim Jim. Other items returned.

2:52 p.m. — Report of breaking-and-entering into an unlocked vehicle on Norwood Street. Caller reporting registration and owner’s manual stolen from glove compartment. Property turned in to lost-and-found anonymously and returned to owner.

Montague, Feb. 23

2:49 p.m. — A Sherman Drive caller states neighbor has a large fire burning in his fire pit again. Fire Department requests police response. Homeowner being unruly.

11 p.m. — Accident on Millers Falls Road. No wires down. Steam and smoke coming from car. Officers and Turners Falls Fire Department en route. Rau’s en route for tow. Passenger taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by AMR.

Greenfield, Feb. 24

2:50 a.m. — Justin R. Page, 26, of Stonewall Drive in Ashfield, was arrested for possession of a Class B drug, failure to stop for police and driving with a suspended license.

5:13 p.m. — Timothy Hueber, 27, of Cross Road in West Chesterfield, N.H., was arrested for OUI-drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving at a rate of speed exceeding posted limits, four counts of possession of a Class E drug and one count of possession of a Class A drug.

Montague, Feb. 24

7:46 p.m. — Older woman caught trying to shoplift an item from Family Dollar on Avenue A. Found it in her pocket. Family Dollar will not press charges.

Greenfield, Feb. 25

9:56 a.m. — Vehicle struck the building at People’s United Bank, 45 Federal St. Building inspector en route.

11:57 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle at National Guard armory on Hope Street. Unable to locate.

6:09 p.m. — A Chapman Street caller reports his wife was in their kitchen when an unknown man walked into the house, asked the woman why she was in his house and then walked back out. Was last seen next door leaning over a vehicle.

Montague, Feb. 25

1:29 p.m. — DPW found suspected drugs near intersection of Millers Falls Road and George Avenue. Retrieved by Officer Joshua Dobosz.

Greenfield, Feb. 26

6:16 a.m. — A Harrison Avenue caller states her neighbor’s kid is “poisoning” her. States she feels sick and it is the neighbor’s fault. Fire Department reports no abnormal findings. Officer attempted to speak with reporting party several times, each time ending with her demanding her neighbor be arrested. Would become irate when informed there are no grounds to do so. Same refused medical treatment from AMR.

10:46 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle on Legion Avenue.

12:39 p.m. — People fighting in waiting room of Franklin Recovery Center/Northern Hope. Man left upon being asked. Gave a first name of Jesse. On foot toward Federal Street.

6:14 p.m. — Child in car pointing laser beam at other vehicles. Got on to Routes 5 and 10. Transferred to Shelburne Control.

Greenfield, March 3

1:13 p.m. — Walk-in wants to speak with an officer regarding a subject stealing from property of Ozzie’s Auto Body & Paint Shop on High Street.

1:15 p.m. — Report of shoplifting at New Inkwell News, 78 Federal St. Younger man seen on camera taking a candy bar and sticky bun without paying. Attempted to locate. Gone on arrival.

4:23 p.m. — Woman requesting officer call back due to her children being threatened; neighbor reportedly stated he would “run over” several juveniles standing in the street after bus dropped them off. Advised neighbor if he has issue with kids walking in road to address it maturely with their parents.

Greenfield, March 4

1:17 p.m. — Parties with information about older teenager selling vape pens to middle schoolers.

5:04 p.m. — Black 9mm handgun found in grassy area near intersection of Burnham and Bernardston roads. Firearm secured. Running same through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

7:56 p.m. — Report of hit-and-run on Franklin Street.

Greenfield, March 5

3:43 p.m. — Report of hypodermic needle on Davis Street. By sidewalk, in shrubs.

Montague, March 5

11:32 a.m. — A Crescent Street caller reports two suspicious men claiming to be from a solar panel company. Inquired with her yesterday about purchasing solar panels, at which time she declined. Saw same two men drive by her house in a small gray car and is concerned. Was advised no crime has taken place, but will log call.

Montague, March 7

7:17 p.m. — Caller at Family Dollar on Avenue A reports an intoxicated man vomited in front of store and then moved some products they are selling on top of vomit. Reporting party states man walked away but then came back when he saw she was calling the police and started to yell at her. Man returned home.

Greenfield, March 8

11:39 a.m. — Man reports being punched five times in face and head at Energy Park. Exhibited busted, swelling in his right cheek and complaining of pain. AMR requested. Transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

1:41 p.m. — Two men in wooded area near Country Mart drinking and trespassing. Remaining alcohol poured out and parties advised of consequences if they return.

Greenfield, March 9

3:50 p.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle near Mill House Apartments on Wells Street. Removed.

Greenfield, March 11

1:50 p.m. — Caller requesting to speak with an officer about two teenagers planning to fight on the “bike path.” Knives were mentioned.

Montague, March 11

12:37 p.m. — Man at Food City reports 3-month-old baby and another young child unattended in a car in parking lot with windows up. Reports he has been with car for over 15 minutes. While on the line, driver came out and got into a verbal argument with reporting party. Advised to let officers handle situation and not to continue speaking with the driver. Involved vehicle gone on arrival. Sgt. James Deery checked residence that vehicle is registered to. Vehicle not there. Father of the children called to request to speak with an officer about the incident. Deery advised.

3:48 p.m. — A caller at Family Dollar on Avenue A reports a woman took a bottle of perfume. When confronted, woman stated her husband had purchased the perfume for her, but employee states their inventory list shows one missing. Area of store not covered by surveillance cameras. Reporting party says woman left toward Walgreen’s. Sgt. James Deery advised. No trespass order issued.

5:17 p.m. — Needles reported on ground in area of Fifth Street. Recovered.

5:32 p.m. — Caller states a white Dodge Charger has been tailgating her and honking the horn for unknown reasons. She turned onto Turners Falls Road and he continued straight on Turnpike Road. Police advised.

Greenfield, March 12

11:09 a.m. — Two homeless people punched building manager on Main Street who was asking them to leave.

12:26 p.m. — Report of a stolen vehicle on Cypress Street. Caller reports his father-in-law went inside to get money and left keys in car, came back outside and vehicle is gone. 2002 Saturn, gold, with American flag sticking out.

1:21 p.m. — Walk-in reporting several church members who fell for a scam. Three members from out of town were contacted and asked for gift card and numbers off of the cards.

7:09 p.m. — Edward Eugene Owens-Thomas, 35, of Berkshire Avenue in Springfield, was arrested on the Mohawk Trail for possession of an open container of alcohol, failure to stop/yield, driving with a revoked license and a subsequent offense of possession of a Class B drug.

Greenfield, March 16

4:20 p.m. — Man threatening to shoot two boys he was looking for in area of Greenfield High School. Last seen headed toward Adams Donuts.

Greenfield, March 17

6:56 a.m. — A Lampblack Road caller reports she is trapped in her truck, which has rolled over. Vehicle was southbound when it lost control on snow-covered roads. Flipped onto side on west side of road. Minor injuries with no transport.

8:58 a.m. — Report of a hit-and-run accident at Cumberland Farms, 317 Federal St. Caller reporting a blue Ford Ranger rear-ended him on purpose after driving up on him and honking the horn. Same followed vehicle to hospital parking lot, where he confronted the driver, who then drove away. Tail light damaged on his vehicle. Advised of insurance information and options.

12:19 p.m. — Yarras Fletcher, 30, of Colrain Street in Greenfield, was arrested for intimidating a witness/juror/police/court official.

3:06 p.m. — A caller at Franklin County Emergency Shelter requests officer call regarding larceny of money order by three individuals who are staying at shelter. Reported that the three persons may be headed to Red Roof PLUS+ in South Deerfield. Staff member to call back with more information.

5:24 p.m. — Accident at Interstate 91 Exit 26 ramp. Shelburne Control requesting Fire Department for crash involving two to four vehicles. Minor head injury. South County EMS transported.

8:32 p.m. — Iyiola Oloruntoba Oluwadamilol, 37, homeless, was arrested for trespassing, larceny under $1,200, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Montague, March 17

1:45 p.m. — Officer Cody Wells reports damage to bus stop in front of Food City as well as various signs. Appears a trash can was thrown through part of the glass bus stop, smashing window. Mess cleaned up.

Greenfield, March 18

3:22 p.m. — Caller on Standish Court reporting hydraulic fluid leaked on street by storm drain from moving vehicle that was parked there earlier. Vehicle gone on arrival. SpeedyDry placed on spill.

4:11 p.m. — Several callers reporting chunk of concrete on Interstate 91, by mile marker 45. Transferred to State Police.

Greenfield, March 19

4:51 p.m. — Suspected rabid skunk on Verde Drive. Message left for animal control officer.

9:08 p.m. — Report of a vehicle operating erratically on Interstate 91. Transferred to State Police. State Police stopped vehicle. Altered mental status. Elderly male driver did no know how old he was, the date, the direction he was headed or the route he was on. Provided incorrect responses to all questions.

Montague, March 19

10:40 a.m. — Large piece of furniture reported in Montague City Road.
