Ashfield’s Mark Burton promoted to vice president of Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston

BOSTON — Mark Burton of Ashfield has been promoted to vice president, secondary market sales manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (FHLB Boston).

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is a cooperatively owned wholesale bank for housing finance in the six New England states. Its mission is to provide highly reliable wholesale funding and liquidity to its member financial institutions in New England.

In his new role, Burton is responsible for marketing FHLB Boston’s acquired member assets program. He joined FHLB Boston in 2015.

Burton has 35 years of experience as an executive in the mortgage industry. He is a graduate of Mohawk Trail Regional High School, Greenfield Community College, and Williams College, and earned graduate degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Temple University.
