Textile history talk tonight

BUCKLAND — Buckland weaver, textile designer and author Peggy Hart will give a talk on her latest book, “Wool: Unraveling an American Story of Artists and Innovation,” Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 7 in the Buckland Public Library, 30 Upper St.

Keeping people warm for four centuries, wool has been an essential commodity from colonial times to the present. This book tells wool’s colorful and epic tale — a good read for anyone who has knit a pair of socks, woven a scarf or curled up with a warm wool blanket.
