Sunday: Community invited to Thanksgiving dinner

SHUTESBURY – Shutesbury Community Church will hold a community Thanksgiving dinner at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at the church, 6 Town Common Road. All are invited. The menu will include turkey, stuffing, potatoes and vegetables, desserts, coffee and juices. The dinner will be preceded by the weekly worship service at 9:30 a.m., with nursery and Sunday school available for children. Attendance at the service is not required to attend the dinner. Nov. 24: Barry Deitz to lead
Thanksgiving service and potluck

BERNARDSTON — Speaker Barry Deitz will lead a service of Thanksgiving with the theme of “Gratitude and Sharing,” followed by a pot luck luncheon Sunday, Nov. 24, at the 1739 Unitarian Meetinghouse, 49 Church St. Please bring a dish to share and a canned good for our food donation offering for local families in need. Nov. 24: Interfaith Thanksgiving service in Athol

ATHOL — Athol Congregational Church will host an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at 1225 Chestnut St. Participants will be Rev. Rosemary Dawson (ACC Interim Pastor), Rev. Mary Owen (Starrett Memorial Methodist Church), Rev. Joe Bezio (member, ACC), Rev. Michael Young (representing the Native American Tradition), and Robyn Bernstein-Noviti (Temple Israel). Combined choirs will include members from Athol Congregational Church and Starrett Memorial-OLI-St. John’s Combined Choir. Instrumentalists will include Loyall Allen, organ, Rene Lake-Gagliardi, piano; Tania Gauvin, flute; Tony Sampognaro, euphonium. Nov. 26: Thanksgiving service in Greenfield

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Baptist Church, 138 Main St., will offer a Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m.

Nov. 26: North Franklin County and Southwest New Hampshire community Thanksgiving service

WARWICK — The Rev. David Neil announces that, new this year, the churches of the northern area of Franklin County have been invited to combine their Thanksgiving Service with the United Church of Winchester, N.H., and the Richmond and West Rindge United Methodist churches, also in N.H. This year’s Community Thanksgiving Service will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m., at the Trinitarian Congregational Church of Warwick, 32 Athol Road. There will be a joint choir led by Kayla Dedishew, choir director of the United Church of Bernardston. Singers gather at 6 p.m. to rehearse.

Participating churches include: United Church of Bernardston, Trinitarian Congregational churches of Warwick and Northfield, United Church of Winchester, N.H., Richmond United Methodist and West Rindge United Methodist churches, St. Patrick’s Church of Northfield, Leyden United Methodist Church, Congregational Unitarian Society of Bernardston and First Parish, Unitarian of Northfield.

Nov. 27: Thanksgiving Eve combined churches service

VERNON, Vt. — The Mountain View Seventh Day Adventist Church of Vernon, Vt., will host a Thanksgiving Eve Service on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Joining the Mountain View Church will be the Vernon Union Church and the Vernon Advent Christian Church. Nov. 27: Orange Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service

ORANGE — Mission Covenant Church, Pleasant Street, will host the Orange Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service, Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m.

Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Day Mass

SOUTH DEERFIELD — Holy Family Parish, 29 Sugarloaf St., will celebrate Mass at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.

Nov. 28: First Church of Christ Scientist Thanksgiving service

GREENFIELD — On Thanksgiving Day, the First Church of Christ Scientist will hold a service of thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. in the church at 110 Federal St. There are readings from the Bible and our textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The service includes hymns of gratitude and a portion of the service is set aside for people to testify to their gratitude for God’s blessings in their lives. All are welcome.

Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Day dinner to be served in Leverett

LEVERETT — Moores Corner Church, 10 Church Hill Road, will be serving dinner Thanksgiving day at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
