Montague Summer Camp: Register Now for Summer Camp. Ages 5-12. Program dates: Monday, July 2 to Friday, Aug. 17, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Discovery and Sports & Adventures). We offer theme weeks, field trips, special events and trips to Laurel Lake. Fee Schedule: Discovery Program (Unity Park), Montague residents $75/child/week, nonresidents $90/child/week; Sports & Adventures (Turners Falls High School) Montague residents $85/child/week, nonresidents $100/child/week.

Start Smart Sports Development Program: A developmentally appropriate introductory sports program for children 3-5 years old. Skills learned and developed in this program prepares children and their parents for organized sports in a fun, non-threatening environment. The sports skills developed in this program are: throwing, catching, batting and kicking. Parents must actively participate with their children. July 10 to Aug. 14 (Tuesday evenings) 6 to 7 p.m. at Unity Park, Turners Falls. Fees: Montague residents $35, nonresidents $40, (nonresidents, where noted, will be placed on a waiting list until the week before the start of each program, and will be placed on the active roster if space allows)

The following programs are offered in partnership with the Northern Tier Athletic Club: Free Youth Soccer Clinics — Tuesday afternoons July 10, 17, 24, 31; 4 to 5:30 p.m. for boys and girls ages 10-14, at: Highland Park, Millers Falls (and followed Friendly Pick-up Soccer for Kids, 5:30 p.m. for girls and boys, ages 10-14). Pre-season Soccer Boot Camp — Tuesday, Aug. 21 through Friday, Aug. 24; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for boys and girls ages 10-14 at Highland Park, Millers Falls. Montague residents $100, nonresidents $110, enrollment maximum 20 participants.

Unity Park Community Garden Open Garden: Throughout the summer. Weekly Open Garden hours every Thursday evening from 5 to 7. Come nibble on some pick-your-own veggies, help maintain public vegetable beds, ask our gardeners for advice, or just come and say hello on a nice summer night. There will be occasional events during open hours.
