250th Anniversary Committee seeks volunteer

WHATELY — The Steering Committee for the Whately 250th Anniversary Committee is seeking a volunteer to help with Whately mementos.

The volunteer would work with the committee’s designer to develop a Whately 250 souvenir line, as well as be the contact for local orders. Anyone interested should email whately250@gmail.com.

Cultural Council grant applications open in October

CONWAY — The Conway Cultural Council plans to begin accepting grant applications on Oct. 1.

Applications will be accepted through Nov. 16 from organizations, schools and individuals for projects that support community-oriented art, humanities or science programs, field trips, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops or lectures.

Tilton Library to hold Browsing Day

SOUTH DEERFIELD — Tilton Library at 75 North Main St. plans to host an outdoor Browsing Day for patrons next month.

Books will be brought out in carts on Saturday, Oct. 3, allowing patrons to browse the library’s newer collection. Staff will be available to check out books.

Masks will be required and patrons must practice social distancing.
