Two meets into the season and the Mohawk Trail alpine ski team is already flexing its muscles.

The Warriors swept the podium during Tuesday’s PVIAC Meet No. 2 at Berkshire East Resort in Charlemont, as Weston Den Ouden took first place on the boys side and Addie Loomis captured the victory in the girls race.

Those individual wins lifted Mohawk Trail to the top team spot in both events in the North Division.

Den Ouden was first down the mountain in the boys race with a time of 27.09 seconds, 0.26 seconds ahead of second place Edward Przybyla of Hampshire Regional.

The Warriors put six skiers in the top 25 overall. Behind Den Ouden, Phineas Tuttman was 17th (31.51 seconds), followed by Gage Patenaude (20th, 32.07), Alex Schreiber (21st, 32.10), Ben Makosiej (23rd, 32.33) and Oliver Johnson (24th, 32.44).

The girls race featured similar domination, led by a 1-2 finish by Loomis and Emily Sisum.

Loomis crossed first overall in 40.28 seconds, while teammate Sisum was right behind in second place (41.34 seconds).

The third Mohawk Trail skier across the line was Sofiya Slocik-Gritzner, as her time of 46.62 seconds was good enough for 12th overall.

Caroline Makosiej was next in 22nd place (52.74), while next up was Cali Price (35th, 63.21), Ohia Dellert (36th, 63.95) and Myah Grant (40th, 66.32).
