4 pieces of surplus equipment sold LEYDEN — A total of $14,410 has been added to the town’s general fund following the auction of four pieces of surplus equipment.
The town got $4,300 for a cargo trailer, $3,550 for an ATV, $360 for a radar trailer from the Police Department and $6,200 for its Ford fire truck.
Fire Department recruits new members LEYDEN — The Selectboard appointed two new members to the Fire Department during its meeting on Monday.
William Butler and Colton Stebbins, both of Leyden, were unanimously appointed on the recommendation of the Fire Department’s Officer in Charge Brian Pelletier. The department now has 11 members, with five members who live in Leyden and seven who live out of town.
Health board holding hearing on well regulationsNORTHFIELD — The Board of Health will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m. in Town Hall to introduce and ask for comments on private well regulations prior to their adoption by the board.
All Northfield residents are welcome to attend the hearing and to present any oral or written comments.
