I was rather shocked to see a front-page headline (”EVs pose firefighting challenges”) in a recent issue of the Recorder about the danger of car fires caused by batteries in electric vehicles, as well as by the large amount of time and money being spent by local fire departments to deal with this threat.

You can imagine my surprise, then, when I got all the way to the eighth paragraph on the back page of the paper, where it finally mentions that there is little actual evidence for this threat.

This headline and the article beneath it are, at best, concern-trolling.
