I have never read Voice Male magazine, and I have no plans to. Editor emeritus Rob Okun constantly denigrates white males, and I’m sick of it. I say, let’s build each other up, not tear each other down, but I realize that’s not a popular thing to say in the Recorder.

And so Mr. Okun attacks the National Rifle Association and Donald Trump in his recent My Turn, “Will men organize to end gun violence?” [Recorder, Feb. 14], but not white liberal actor Alec Baldwin, who fatally shot a woman on a movie set. He’s not in prison, but protesters from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot are still locked up, and they didn’t kill anybody! Liberals always give other liberals a pass.

Mr. Okun has taken a shine to overrated pop superstar Taylor Swift because (you guessed it) she’s a Bidenite. But just because she’s pro-abortion and supports Black Lives Matter doesn’t mean she’s a deep thinker. She’s just another left-wing celebrity robot starved for attention; and she’s loved by the news media because she’s one of them — a liberal.

In his column, Mr. Okun then encourages Swift’s current boy toy, Travis Kelce (a liberal, of course), to speak out “about gun violence, reproductive rights, the climate crisis and the presidential election. The potential impact he could have on men cannot be overstated.” The lovebirds should stick to smooching because I have no interest in hearing their political views.

I would like to remind the writer that at the Super Bowl, Mr. Kelce screamed at his head coach and shoved him. Isn’t that a prime example of toxic masculinity?
