The influential lobby group Mothers Out Front and our local Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution Climate Task Force are promoting legislative action required to permanently halt expansion of huge new gas pipelines in Massachusetts. This is a critical step in addressing the climate crisis and protects us from higher utility bills by avoiding new charges to build unnecessary new infrastructure.

The bills H.3237 / S.2135 would remove the state’s ability to permit large new gas projects and have been favorably voted out of their required committees. Sen, Michael J. Barrett and other leaders should take the next step and pass this critical legislation into law. You can play a part by sending a message to your legislators to pass the New Gas System Expansion Moratorium Bill. Your children and their children will thank you.
