February Break Vacation Week: Sign up today for February Break Vacation Week, a fun filled week of activities, games, and outdoor fun for your child grades K-6.  This program is held at the Youth Center on 20 Sanderson Street from Tuesday, February 19th- Friday, February 22nd. Regular hours are 9:00am-4:00pm with early and late care available. Walking field trips to Beacon Field for sledding, skating, and snow fun! Lunch, afternoon snack, and drink must be sent with child. Morning snack provided. Children also must bring appropriate winter clothing (boots, hats, gloves, etc). $120 Residents, $130 Non-Residents. Additional fees for early and late care. Registration deadline is February 5th. A $25 late fee will be assessed for all late registrations.

GRASP Highlights:Did you know GRASP offers half-day care, as well as regular afterschool care? Students in the Greenfield Recreation After School Program at Federal Street and Four Corners Schools have a blast enjoying special craft projects, outside fun, and extra free choice programming on half days. Interested in learning more about GRASP? Winter Carnival Traffic Alert: A reminder that Main Street and Federal Street will be closed on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. for the Winter Carnival Parade of Lights. Please seek alternate route. Gerrett Street will also be closed. There will be no parking on either side of Beacon Street.

Winter Carnival Ice Carving:Be sure to check out the live ice carving on Friday beginning around 8 a.m. Vote for your favorite at the ballot box on the Town Common. One vote per person. Voting closes on Sunday at 10 a.m., during the Winter Carnival. If you are interested in signing up to be part of the overnight Ice Sculpture Watch Crew, see the website for volunteer details at:

Winter Carnival Sleigh Bell Run: It’s not too late to register for the Winter Carnival Sleigh Bell Run, a four-mile road race through a scenic course starting on Hope Street and running through the Highland Park area. Race is on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. Register at Recreation Department or day of race at Hope & Olive Restaurant from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Prizes awarded for multiple age divisions. First 75 entrants receive T-shirt and sleigh bell bracelets. Registration $25. Youth under the age of 18 are half price
