Free composting workshop set for Wednesday

The Food Waste Reduction and Composting Working Group of the Greater Quabbin Food Alliance, sponsored by Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, has taught local communities about composting for the home, business, restaurant and event. Now, this group is offering a more in-depth look at composting with a free workshop.

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m., registered participants will go on a socially distanced, guided tour of Clear View Composting, a commercial compost facility in Orange. Participants will learn about home composting and have an opportunity to purchase a home compost bin from a Franklin or Worcester county organization.
