Bulletin board: League results from Edge Hill, CCG

Brett Sallee notched the top point quota of plus-4, while Jeff Carantit was right behind at plus-3 to top the A Division at the Edge Hill Golf Course’s Men’s League on Tuesday in Ashfield.

Bill Buck posted the low gross (39) in the A Division and Sallee had the low net (31).

In B Division action, Jim Small’s plus-6 quota was tops, followed by Jon Sonntag at plus-5. Sonntag shot 42 for the low gross and Small’s 28 was the low net.

Closest to the pin winners were John Walsh (16-3) and Dave Cote (6-7).

CCG Women’s 18-hole league

Terry Boyce carded the low gross of 36 as the Country Club of Greenfield’s 18-hole women’s league played odd holes only on Tuesday.

Tina Browne was next with a 39 in Flight One, while Ann McHugh (31) and Michele Hazlett (32) had the low net scores.

Diane Bradford’s 50 was low gross in Flight Two, with Irene Woods right behind (51). Lane Kelly had the low net (33) and Susan Parker was second (34).

CCG 9-hole women’s league

Chris Eugin shot 38 to top the Patty Berg Flight at the Country Club of Greenfield’s 9-hole women’s league on Tuesday.

Annie Lasek shot 39 to take second.

In the Nancy Lopez Flight, Lisa Sullivan and Ann McHugh shot 47 to lead the way, while Ellen Bitzer was first in the JoAnne Carner Flight (48), followed by Marley Balasco (53) and Karen Duclos (53).

In the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Betty Graves and Sandy Ruggeri each shot 51, as did Kim French and Irene McDonald in the Annika Sorenstam Flight. The Michelle Wie Flight was won by Maggie Valentine (53), with Carole Akey second (55).

Youth softball

GGSL

Savannah Thomas was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, and Zoey Lively also had a hit to help Pristine Orientals beat Freedom Credit Union, 4-2, on Tuesday.

Freedom’s Riley Reipold and Sophia Stacey each had four hits on the night.

In action from Monday night, Kyra Tamsin doubled in a pair of runs to help Descavich Heating and Plumbing walk off with a 17-16 win over Pipione’s Sport Shop.

Bailey Cusson smacked a home run for Descavich, while Ella Rotkiewicz singled and doubled. Cusson, Haddie Connelley, Kendra Steiner, Chloe Cusson (two), Tamsin and Kalina Pease all had a hit, and Pease and Connelley combined in the pitching circle.

Pipione's Zoey Thurber singled and drove in two runs, while Deshiana Davis added a hit and an RBI and Sammi Suhl pitched well.

In other Monday action, Raine Wonsey and Lenyx White went 3-for-3 with a home run apiece to help Triton get past Greenfield Garden Cinemas, 11-8.

Bella Trinque and Lindsey Hawkins each had a hit for Triton.

For Garden Cinemas, Maisie Miller (two hits), Mila Phelps (hit) and Rileyanne Tine (double) paced the offense and Greta Lepore pitched a great game with nine strikeouts.

Adult softball

Greenfield co-ed

Kristin Ouellette and Logan Barrett smacked four hits apiece, helping Smitty’s Pub to a 15-6 win over the Liberty Tax Sharks in action played Tuesday night.

Barrett doubled twice and drove in three runs, while Jack Putala had three hits (2B, 3B) and David Ewell doubled twice and drove in three runs.

Damon Blake paced the Liberty Tax Sharks with four hits, including a home run and two doubles to go with three RBIs. Meghan Forrett slashed three hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, and Che Christi registered two hits.

Montague Co-ed

In action from Monday, Tim Anderson and Damon Blake had three hits apiece, including a home run, and Brian Ginnity also homered as Pioneer Valley Brewery took down Manny’s Appliance, 17-0, at Unity Park.

Stefanie Williams also had two hits to aid the PV Brewery cause. Manny’s was led by Tracy Leblanc and Stephanie Scott, who each had a hit.

Youth baseball

GMLB

Jojo Locke smacked three hits, and Cody Castine finished with four hits, including a double, to help Ruggeri Real Estate to a 15-5 win over Baker Financial in GMLB AA Division action on Tuesday.

Kyan Skutnik-Sheffield also had three hits in the win and pitched well in his debut on the mound.

Baker’s Samuel Edson registered three hits, and Ryder Meuse and Walker Kingsbury added two hits apiece.

In Majors Division play, Casey Burke clubbed his first career home run and Asa Bouchard slashed five hits to help Gilmore & Farrell edge Turners Falls, 16-15.

Bodie Burke had four hits for Gilmore & Farrell while Bryce Zraunig had three. Desmond Drake singled and doubled and Carter Malouin added a hit in the win.

Everett Eichorn, Tyler Newton and Spencer Towne all hit safely for Turners.
