Bulletin Board: Big weekends for Frontier Youth, Franklin County Bulldogs

Prestyn Petrizzi Richmond scored two touchdowns, and Carter Greene also added a TD run to seal the victory as the Frontier Youth Football PeeWees capped an undefeated regular season with a 34-21 win over Warren/West Brookfield on Sunday in South Deerfield.

Frontier’s Harry Doody had a great day running the ball and also threw a two-point conversion to Landen Shelton. Teague Washburn also tossed a two-point conversionto Aidan Pitchko in the win, and the lines were buoyed up front by Cameron Caney.

■ Elsewhere, the Frontier Seniors scored a 21-9 victory on Sunday, and the Juniors cruised to a 22-0 shutout win.

Riggins Kopcza caught a TD pass from Carter Schloat in the Seniors’ win, while Chase Greene and Ber Calhoun also scored TDs. Point after conversions were made by Calhoun and Noah Poreda.

Franklin County Bulldogs

Ben Keeler racked up 57 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Franklin County Bulldogs PeeWee team to an 18-8 win over Quabbin on Sunday.

The club finished its regular season 6-2 overall and will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming postseason.

Brock Puchalski added a 25-yard TD for the Bulldogs, while Owen Castine racked up four tackles to pace the defense. Collin Winslow, Phoenyx Maynard, Gavin Keene and Kaydin Snow-Rose each finished with three tackles, and Weston Hobbs totaled two tackles.

Greenfield Touch League

Quarterback Malcolm Smith hooked up with Chris Hart and Parker Hickey for TD passes, and Nuny Vega sealed the victory with a 26-yard pick-six to lift Sirum to a 19-0 win over the Namaste Rockets in a Greenfield Touch Football League contest on Sunday.

The Sirum defense played tough all day, recording four interceptions and three sacks. Namaste QB Jordan Markham Sr. did lead several drives, with Tyson Dowdy, Kris Quiles, RJ Byrd, and Ben Padua playing well in a losing effort.

■ In other action, QB Joseph Colon had a monster offensive outing to help the Blitzing Bears to a 43-6 win over the Namaste Pink Panthers.

Colon ran in for a TD from 18 yards out, and also connected with Reni Baez and Kasheef Sheppard for two touchdowns apiece. Steve Torres and Nico Kaham also scored in the win, and Justin Velez added a key interception near the goal line. Lonnie Jackson, Javier Rivera and Nathan Melon also had strong games for the Bears.

Panthers QB Max Bastarache hit a 29-yard touchdown strike, and Anthony Kerivan, Dominic Ajare, and Joshua Gaulin played well in defeat.

Frontier Baseball Golf
Tournament

Alex Gochinski, Steve Gochinski, Joe Gochinski and Jim O’Sullivan were the winners at the Third Annual Frontier Baseball Boosters Alumni Golf Tournament at Northfield Golf Course over the weekend. 

Bryan Adamski, Jack Stankowski, Gavin Cairl and Gary Thorton placed second, Anthony Laurenitis won closest to the pin while Kevin Downes took longest drive. 

 

CCG Fall Bramble

The team of Michael Duclos Jr, Valerie Esquer, Brian Luippold, Nancy Robie and Elaine Mount took first place with a 117 at the Country Club of Greenfield’s Fall Bramble over the weekend.

Ernie Patnode, Doug Welenc, Susan O'Connor and Dianne Wood were second (119), followed by Mike Archer, Mike Plager, Mike Covey, Corrine Sysun and Danica Hochstetler in third (122).
