Arena Civic Theatre putting on 2 plays in Greenfield

GREENFIELD — Arena Civic Theatre is offering two plays in the Franklin County Fairgrounds’ Roundhouse this month.

“Alice in Wonderland,” directed by Alana Martineau and Bee Forfa, will show at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 5; 1 p.m.and 3 p.m. on Aug. 6; and 4 p.m. on Aug. 7. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $10 for students and senior citizens.

“Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic,” directed by Jayse Matrishon and Leanne Mizula, is set for 8 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 6; 1 p.m. on Aug. 7; 8 p.m. on Aug. 19; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 20; and 2 p.m. on Aug. 21. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $13 for students and senior citizens.

Martineau adapted Lewis Carroll’s classic to create “Alice in Wonderland,” while “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” is a 2015 play by playwright Matt Cox, with original music by Brian Metolius.
