Manny’s pulls one out, 2-1
Manny’s TV & Appliance Center scored twice in the seventh inning to beat Dream Bats, 2-1, in Tri-County League men’s amateur baseball action Thursday night at Veterans Memorial Field in Greenfield.
Greg Vouros got the winning rally started with a walk and promptly stole second. Eric Libardoni ripped a single to move Vouros to third, then Soren Pelz-Walsh reached base on catcher’s interference to loaded the bases with no outs. With Bryan Adamski at the dish, a wild pitch allowed Vouros to sprint home and move the runners up, then Adamski lofted a fly ball to medium left field that was caught and Libardoni bolted home for the winning run, sliding in well before the throw arrived at the plate.
“It was pretty hairy,” said Manny’s head coach Lee Magee. “We just couldn’t do anything against their first pitcher.”

Austin Finck finished with two of Manny’s five hits. Adamski, Libardoni and Steffen Herter had the others.
