Letter: Local bias?

Bias is not productive.

In South Dakota, at Mount Rushmore are four U.S. presidents carved into the mountain: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. Two of these were Republicans! Lincoln steered the North through the U.S. Civil War. Theodore Roosevelt began the Panama Canal linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. President Dwight Eisenhower initiated the building of the Interstate Highway System, which benefited all Americans.

If we lump all the Republicans together, maybe we should not condemn them all. (What’s the definition of bias?)

Isaac Mass is a good guy. No one expects everyone to agree with everything he believes, but to condemn all Republicans is not a great idea.
