Letter: Maureen Manzelli
Maureen Manzelli’s obituary in The Recorder brought me fond memories. Maureen and her husband Louis helped out every Sunday afternoon in the early 1990s when we served a community meal at the now defunct Green River Cafe. Not only did the Manzellis show up without fail, they brought a spirit of cheer and compassion. When Maureen walked into the room, the whole place lit up. She taught us many lessons, just by being herself: accentuate the positive, be grateful for your blessings, give a hand to someone who needs it. She will be missed.
