Letter: ‘Unauthorized work’
Please, let’s not have “déjà vu all over again.” Will the GHS Building Committee follow in the disastrous footprints of the middle school building committee fiasco?
The Recorder May 18 article, “Kitchen Confusion,” tells us of an architectural firm that hired a food service consulting firm that billed us taxpayers $6,300 for work NOT officially authorized and work that hadn’t been done yet! What gives?
No work should be done without a signed and dated authorization including the amount to be spent. Also, no public monies should be spent for work not done. I should think that the architectural firm should pay, out of their own pockets, the bill for the unauthorized “work.”
