Neighbors: Local genealogists solve family mysteries, Thursdays at 6
I would like to apologize to you if you have been inconvenienced by my continued absence. I have been out with a back problem that is slowly getting better, but is not quite there yet. If you have something pressing that needs to be published, please contact the newsroom at 413-772-0261, ext. 270 and someone there should be able to help you.
I did want to tell you about something our neighbor Sara Campbell let me know about.
Local genealogists are getting together the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at Carnegie Public Library on Avenue A in Turners Falls to have informal discussions about their family histories.
Sara said they will be exploring local cemeteries for clues to unsolved family mysteries and sharing information on how to do research .
They share tips with each other and help each other out with projects.
If you would like to propose a group project, offer a topic of interest or share some stories, you should contact the group or show up on Thursday.
For more information, contact the group at: http://genealogygathering.blogspot.com.
I hope to write a complete column for Friday.
