Nomination papers available in Hawley
HAWLEY — Nomination papers are now available for those who want to run for office in the May 5 annual town election. Incumbents and prospective candidates have until March 13 to pick up nomination papers, which are due back with voters’ signatures by 5 p.m. on March 17.
“All incumbents in Hawley plan to take out nomination papers and run again,” said Town Clerk Pamela Shrimpton.
These nomination papers may be picked up Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon in Town Office, during selectmen’s meetings, or by appointment. If interested, call Shrimpton at 339-5518.
All positions, except for town moderator, are available for three-year terms:
Selectman/Board of Health, incumbent John Sears; town clerk, incumbent Shrimpton; assessor, incumbent Rick Kean; School Committee (vacant); representative to K-12 committee for Mohawk Trail Regional School District, incumbent Kirby “Lark” Thwing; moderator (one-year term), incumbent Kirby “Lark” Thwing.
