Letter: Roadside recycling

I live on Colrain Road and would like to thank the folks in Colrain and Jacksonville for their contributions to Greenfield’s highly successful recycling program.

The containers they drop alongside the road end up in my recycle bin. Unfortunately, no returnable cans or bottles are left behind. And the fast food wrappers are rarely fit for recycling.

I have noted a high percentage of the plastic containers are for bottled water which makes me wonder about the quality of water in those towns. Pity they don’t have access to Greenfield’s water which always gets high marks.
