Cooley Dickinson looks to put medical office in S. Deerfield
SOUTH DEERFIELD — Cooley Dickinson Hospital is asking the town to use an Elm Street building for a medical office.
The building located at 29 Elm St. is owned by Peter May of South Deerfield, who owns the abutting business Habitat Post and Beam, a building design company. May could not be reached for comment.
On Jan. 9, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. in Town Hall to consider the request for a special permit to change the use of the property to a medical office with exam rooms.
The building is currently zoned in the commercial one or small business district.
