Colrain voter registration today for state primary

COLRAIN — Today is the last day to register to vote in time for the Sept. 9 state primary. The town clerk’s office is open today for voter registration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. in the Town Office.

Absentee ballots are also available in the Town Office.

Meet Lt. Gov. candidate Cheung Sunday from 6 to 7

CHARLEMONT — Cambridge City Council member Leland Cheung, a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, will be in Charlemont Sunday to meet voters and discuss his platform in The Meetinghouse at 30 Windy Hill Lane, off East Oxbow Road, from 6 to 7 p.m.

This gathering will be hosted by Susie Patlove and Robert Lingle of Charlemont and refreshments will be provided.

ConCom member needed in Shelburne

SHELBURNE — The Conservation Commission is looking for residents interested in helping protect the town’s natural resources. There currently is a vacancy for a three-year term on the five-member board.

The commission meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Memorial Hall. Site visits are conducted for proposed work that requires its review.

Those interested in being considered for appointment should submit a letter stating interest and qualifications. Letters should be sent to the Shelburne Conservation Commission, 51 Bridge St., Shelburne Falls, MA 01370, or emailed to concomm@townofshelburne.com.
