Man stabbed in Oak Courts apartment Friday morning

GREENFIELD — A local man was stabbed in his girlfriend’s home in the early morning hours Friday.

At about 4:42 a.m., police responded to an Oak Courts apartment, where a woman had reported that her boyfriend had been stabbed.

Sgt. Mark Williams confirmed that the caller said that a man came into the apartment, stabbed the victim, and left through the back door.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for his injury.

Williams said the stab wound did not appear to be life-threatening.

A police dog from Montague was called in to try to track the suspect. The victim’s girlfriend said the attacker may have been driving a green Honda or Acura, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Williams said the stabbing is still under investigation, and no other information was available Friday.
