Northfield voter registration deadline on Feb. 15
NORTHFIELD — Feb. 15 is the last day to register to vote in the Feb. 25 special town meeting.
The town clerk’s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday for voter registration.
Northfield town offices closed until noon on Feb. 19
NORTHFIELD — The town clerk and assessor’s offices will be closed until noon on Feb. 19. Town Hall and the senior center will be open during normal hours, but individual offices will be closed for records maintenance.
Town Hall will closed Feb. 18 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

NORTHFIELD — Registered Democrats in Northfield will be holding a town caucus at Dickinson Memorial Library, 115 Main St., in the downstairs Meeting Room on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. to elect two delegates (one male and one female) and three alternates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention to be held on July 13 in Lowell.
This caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Northfield. The Democratic Town Committee invites those interested in statewide politics to attend and consider running for one of the delegate posts. Those not elected to be either delegate or alternate, and who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.
Orange Democrats to caucus Feb. 16
ORANGE — The town’s registered Democrats will be holding a caucus and general meeting in the Workers’ Credit Union Community Room on Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. to elect delegates and alternates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Orange Democrats will gather for a regular business meeting after the caucus to plan for the coming year.
Delegates to the July 13 convention will debate and adopt a new party platform. Starting this year, the Massachusetts Democratic Party will also hold a Youth Convention for high school organizers. The Orange Democratic Caucus will elect three delegates and three alternates to the adult convention. Those not elected as delegate and/or alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.

Turners Falls Fire District nomination papers available
MONTAGUE — Nomination papers for the annual Turners Falls Fire District Election are now available to all district residents from the District Office located at 226 Millers Falls Road, Turners Falls, until March 1. Papers must be returned no later than March 5. The District Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All potential candidates must obtain 30 signatures from registered voters within the Turners Falls Fire District.
Offices are as follows:
■ Prudential Committee, for a three year term.
■ Water Commissioner, for a three year term.
■ Treasurer, for one year to fill an unexpired term.
The annual election will be held April 23, with polls open noon to 7 p.m. District residents wishing to register to vote may do so at the Town Clerk’s office located in Town Hall, 1 Avenue A, Turners Falls. For more information call the District Office at 863-4542.
Wendell Democrats to meet Feb. 16
WENDELL — Town Democrats will hold a caucus at 10 a.m. on Feb. 16 in the meeting room of the Wendell Town Offices.
All Wendell residents registered as Democrats are eligible to participate.
The caucus will choose one delegate and one alternate to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention on June 1 in Lowell. Those not chosen as delegate or alternate may apply to be add-on delegates in the youth, minority, or disabled categories.
