Youth Soccer: Youth soccer registration for all levels. Start Smart Soccer (kindergarten to grade 2), Junior Travel (grades 3 and 4) and Senior Travel (grades 5 and 6). Program begins the second week in September.
Start Smart Football: Start Smart Football teaches children the basic motor skills necessary to play organized flag football while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. This is a non-contact program. For children in kindergarten to grade 2. Play is on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon, Sept. 13 to Oct. 25. Montague residents, $30; nonresidents, $35. Maximum enrollment dependent upon the number of volunteer coaches.
Fall Tennis Lessons: Fall tennis lessons, Sept. 13 to Oct. 18, for children, age 7 and older. Play is on Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon (45-minute classes) at Turners Falls High School tennis courts. Montague residents, $45; nonresidents, $50. Registration deadline is Sept. 11.
Scarecrow clothes sought: The department needs clothes for scarecrows. If you have some long sleeve shirts and pants that are not being worn anymore, the department will gladly take them off your hands. Drop them off at our office to help support our Scarecrow Stuffing & Pumpkin Carving Party planned for Oct. 18.
