Hospital welcomes 20 new employees

GREENFIELD — Twenty new medical providers were introduced to the Baystate Franklin Medical Center staff at a welcome ceremony on Nov. 5.

The annual event is designed so that staff can meet and greet any new employees hired within the past year, said Amy Swisher, the hospital’s director of public and community relations.

“The variety of specialties these individuals represent is impressive, as are their educational and clinical backgrounds,” said Gerda Maissel, the hospital’s chief medical officer, in a prepared statement. “We are delighted to have them on our team.”

Among the recent hires are three from the BFMC Emergency Department: Rakesh Talati, the medical director, David Murman and Lucas Rosiere.

And three others — Kenda Krodsma, Fernando Madero-Gorostieta and Justin Sanders — joined BFMC Hospital Medicine.

Timothy Egan and Thomas Marantz were brought on to Baystate Heart and Vascular Program.

Katya Ford and Jonathan Freeman joined BFMC Pathology.

And Stephen Gallo and William Swanson were hired for Pioneer Valley Urology.

Other new employees include: Neil Bach, Deerfield Adult Medicine; Robert Cooper, Baystate Endrocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; Kumar Dhunna, Greenfield Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine; Christopher Ladner, BFMC Radiology; Laura Bond Maycock, Pioneer Women’s Health; Jonathan Richmond, Baystate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Monika Sidor, BFMC Anesthesiology; and Connie Lee Turner, Greenfield Family Medicine.
