Wisnewski campaign event set for Sunday

GREENFIELD — At-large Town Council candidate Mark Wisnewski will be hosting a campaign kick-off this Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hope and Olive restaurant.

Wisnewski has held the positions of Appointments and Ordinances chairman, Greenfield Business Association board member, Town Council vice president and is the current president of the Greenfield Town Council.

“Support in this election has been strong,” said Wisnewski, “and I wanted an event where my friends, neighbors and supporters can gather, grab a lawn sign or sign up to volunteer.”

Wisnewski is running against former Councilor Isaac Mass.

Wisnewski said in a press release announcing the kickoff, that he wants another term on the council to help implement Sustainable Greenfield, the town’s new master plan. He cited as “success stories” from his past three-year term, a “stable budget, increased stabilization funds and increased business activity.”

He said he has been an “ardent supporter of local businesses, sound fiscal policy and open government.”
