Julie McCarthy — Christopher Brown
Julie McCarthy, daughter of Kevin and Susan McCarthy of Millers Falls, MA, was married to Christopher Brown, son of the Rev. Robert Brown and Natalie Gardner of Maynard, MA, and Carol Yelverton and Atty. Donald Becker of Belmont, MA.
The ceremony took place on June 8, 2013, at 4 p.m. outside at Quonquont Farm in Whately, MA, with Justice of the Peace Douglas Brown officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Ceremonial guitarist was Kip Dresser.
The bride’s matron of honor was Kristen Dorsey, college friend.
The groom’s best man was Matthew Blake, his cousin. Ring bearer was Baxter Danger Brown (the couple’s Pembroke Welsh Corgi), who was walked down the aisle by Zachary Brown, the groom’s brother.
The reception was held at Quonquont Farm with DJ Rodney Herzig providing music.
The reception was catered by Seth Mias Catering and floral design by Fairview Gardens. The wedding cakes were made by Terry Lapachinski, Susan Stebbins, Eileen Tela and Yvette Bissell (friends and family).
The newlyweds took a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
The couple are making their home in Rockville, MD.
The bride graduated from Turners Falls High School (2004); Tufts University (B.A., 2008); University of Maryland College Park (M.S., 2013). She is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland College Park.
The groom graduated in 1999 from Belmont High School and in 2004 from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is an Eastern Regional Sales Manager at Kyocera Solar, Inc.
