Bulletin Board: Vets fundraiser set

FMC Ice Sports will host the inaugural Thank Our Veterans Charity Fundraiser on Nov. 22 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.

The community is invited to attend and salute, thank and assist service members.

General admission is $6 per person, and rental skates are available for an additional $5 on a first-come, first-served basis. A live ice-side DJ will take requests and play music throughout the event.

A portion of each public skate admission will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Great Falls Middle School is seeking a boys’ basketball coach.

ASPIRE Clinic

Registrations are now being accepted for the DRIVE 2 ASPIRE Thanksgiving Clinic to be held Nov. 29 at Greenfield High School.

The clinic will be run by Angelo Thomas, Adam Harrington and Ben Barshefsky and will be separated into two groups with boys and girls in Grades 4 through 8 in one group, and boys and girls in Grades 9 through 12 in another.

Cost is $40 if signed up in advance, $45 on day of signup. Space is limited.

IAS openings

Indoor Action Sports is accepting registrations for a variety of upcoming programs.

• The Under-8 Youth Soccer League is still looking for interested players. Session runs from Nov. 23 until Dec. 21 and costs $50 per player. For more information, call Bill Buck at 772-8665 or visit www.indooraction.com.

Flag football

Tech/Pioneer Powder Puff

The Franklin County Technical School vs. Pioneer Valley Regional School Powder Puff football game will take place on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. at Franklin Tech in Turners Falls.

The game features a flag football contest between girls at both schools and will be played to benefit the teen service agency DIAL/SELF. Cost is $5 per adult and $3 for students or one non-perishable food item per person.

IAS men’s league

The IAS Men’s Flag Football League at Indoor Action opens on Dec. 6.

The league runs through Jan. 31, and teams are guaranteed seven regular-season games and two weeks of playoffs/consolation. Cost is $650 per team.
