One hurt in Main, Federal streets crash

GREENFIELD — A two-car collision at the intersection of Main and Federal streets Sunday evening sent one passenger to the hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

The accident, around 7:20 p.m., obstructed traffic in the intersection until the vehicles were removed.

Greenfield police officer Jason Kratz said a white 2002 Hyundai Elantra northbound and turning left through the intersection turned in front of a red Honda Civic traveling south. The two collided and a passenger in the Elantra, 68-year-old Elaine Beaudoin of Sunrise Terrace in Turners Falls, was taken to the emergency room with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
