No contests from Bernardston caucus

BERNARDSTON — The town caucus has produced no contests for the ballot of the April 30 annual town election.

Nomination papers are available from the town clerk until noon March 21, and must be returned by noon on March 25, with signatures of at least 25 registered town voters.

Seeking re-election to three-year positions are: Robert Raymond of 178 Turners Falls Road for selectman, David Powers of 139 Merrifield Road for Board of Health, Eric Boliski of 84 Bald Mountain Road and Bradley Curtis of 20 Cross St. for Recreation Commission, Mona Minor of 83 Couch Brook Road for tax collector, Russell Deane of 259 Bald Mountain Road for assessor, Melanie Lewis of 11 Library St. for treasurer, Bradley Bordewieck of 24 Library St. for tree warden, Marsha Pratt of 16 Eden Trail for Warner Fund trustee, Beth Watrous of 659 Brattleboro Road for library trustee, and Robert Eddy of 63 Eden Trail Branch, D. William Pratt of 16 Eden Trail, and Gretta Shores of 55 Church St. for Powers Institute trustees.

Board of Health member Erik Van Natta of 175 Parmenter Road seeks another two-year term.

Paul Luther of 55 Huckle Hill Road was nominated by the caucus to a three-year term as town clerk. Long-time clerk Judy Knight will not seek re-election.

Caucus nominees for three-year terms are: William Montiglio of 376 Brattleboro Road for constable, Ingrid Skiff of 42 Hartwell St. for Powers Institute trustee, and Wendolyn J. Abramson of 373 Couch Brook Road, Nicholas deRuiter of 14 West Road, and Marsha Pratt of 16 Eden Trail for library trustees.

Elaine Morley of 184 Couch Brook Road was nominated for a two-year library trustee’s seat.

Up for one-year seats are: incumbent Edward Wardell of 52 Eden Trail Branch and caucus nominee Robert Lively of 216 Bald Mountain Road for library trustees, and nominee Eric Seaman of 242 Couch Brook Road for Recreation Commission.
