GILL — Nomination papers are available for the annual town election, to be held May 20.
The last day to obtain nomination papers is March 28, and the deadline to return them is April 1, by 5 p.m. in the town clerk’s office.
The offices on the ballot this year are all for three-year terms and include:
Selectboard-Sewer Commission, assessor, cemetery commissioner, Board of Health member, treasurer and library trustee.
Nomination papers are available in the town clerk’s office. Twenty signatures of Gill registered voters are necessary to run for office.
The annual town election will be May 20 in the fire station. Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. The deadline to register to vote is April 30. For more information call the town clerk at 413-863-8103.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday 1 to 4 p.m. and Monday evening 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and other times by appointment.

GILL — The Gill Energy Commission is planning an educational Energy Fair in the spring to kick off a campaign to reduce energy use in town by 13 percent in 2013.
There will be exhibitors and demonstrations on practices and techniques to track and reduce energy use, develop a more sustainable lifestyle, live more comfortably and save money.
The commission seeks businesses interested in donating gift certificates to be used as prizes and businesses interested in a demonstration table to show ways that their business is green or can offer energy reduction and sustainability solutions to home and business owners.

The event is scheduled for April 6 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Town Hall, 325 Main St., with a farmers market outside on the common.
