LeBlanc puts up 100th win
Pioneer Valley Regional School wrestler Adam LeBlanc registered his 100th career victory Wednesday night during the Panthers’ 65-9 loss to Franklin County Technical School in a Tri-County League wrestling match at Messer Gymnasium in Northfield.
LeBlanc, competing at 138 pounds, reached the century mark by pinning Graham Lowery in 3 minutes, 21 seconds.
“It was big for him to get 100 tonight, especially on Senior Night,” said Panther head coach Kevin McKeown. “He looked like a little kid after it. He was so happy.”
LeBlanc was the fifth Pioneer wrestler to reach the 100-win plateau, according to McKeown.
“He’s a nice kid and has put a lot of years in. He’s very deserving of it,” said Franklin Tech head coach Joe Gamache. “He’s one of the tougher kids in his weight class.”
The Eagles (15-7, 4-1 TCL) accumulated five pins on the evening.
Aleks Giurgiu (120) had the fast of the five, felling Kade Perotti in 1:25. Alec Milton (220) was nearly as quick, stopping Adrian Wilson in 1:30, as was Patrick Lashway (106), who finished off Kolby Brown in 1:32.
Other winners by fall were Brett Bean (132), who downed Hayden Manson in 3:30, and Kyle Laffey (160), who defeated Lukas Rathbun in 5:05.
David Weed (145) recorded a technical fall against Caleb Milton, 17-2, Franklin Tech’s other contested win.

Boyer (7 points) received a pass in the left corner with the visiting Eagles trailing by one and calmly drained the winning bucket from beyond the arc.
Boyer was far from the only Eagles contributor. Jake Earl, who’s been playing through a back injury, was on fire all evening long. He poured in a career-high 40 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out 10 assists and registered five steals.
Chris Wetherby only had 6 points, but was an inside force with 17 rebounds and two blocked shots. Gerald Richardson totaled 11 boards, eight steals and five assists, Thomas Duffy finished with 10 rebounds and four assists. Brian Como distributed eight assists for the winners.
“Even though it doesn’t show it with Jake’s point total, this was a was a total team game for us,” said Franklin Tech head coach Rick Recore. “We really played well as a team.”
Sage Angell led three double-digit scorers with 19 points for Everett, which led 33-32 at halftime. Malik Wilbum drained four treys and finished with 12, while David Funk added 10.
