Letter: No music fan

I am writing about an article on the front page of The Recorder (June 20) about “plainly audible.”

What about the gathering they have every year at GCC? It used to be the balloon festival, and the neighbors along the borders use to get a pass to see the balloons go up. That happened one year.

Now it’s just plain loud music and people littering Colrain Road and other roads surrounding the college. I have called and complained and they have said there are police there at the college, so there is nothing they can do. So what are we supposed to do about the loud music Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday — usually, very LOUD music — for no consideration for the neighbors who border GCC? Can’t complain and get no satisfaction, The police say when you call it will be over soon; that’s some solution.
