Deerfield tree accident sends man to hospital by helicopter

DEERFIELD — A 29-year-old man was rushed to the hospital by helicopter after a serious fall from a tree on Monday, according to police.

Deerfield Police patrolman Adam Sokoloski wrote that police responded to a Lee Road home at 12:32 p.m. with Deerfield Ambulance and the South Deerfield Fire Department after a man fell 15 to 20 feet while trimming a tree at his family’s home, suffering serious injuries.

The man was taken by ambulance to the South Deerfield Fire Station’s landing zone and flown from there to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield by LifeFlight helicopter ambulance.
