Several Rowe seats up for election

ROWE — Nomination papers for the annual town election are now available from Town Clerk Jennifer Morse. The last day to take out nomination papers is March 21, and March 24 will be the last day to file them with the Board of Registrars.

The town has several elected positions to fill on May 17.

Selectman Noel Abbott has announced he is not seeking re-election because he is moving away.

The five-member Finance Committee currently has two unfilled positions, for three-year terms, and one seat for an unexpired one-year term. There is a three-year seat available on the library’s board of trustees.

Besides the unfilled seats, here are the positions that will be on this year’s ballot. All are for three-year terms, unless otherwise noted. Also, the incumbents’ names are listed.

Selectman Noel Abbott; Assessor Rick Williams; School Committee Cynthia Laffond; Board of Health Jo-Ann “Jodi” Brown; Constable Robert Dykeman; Park Commission Mary Jo Williams; Planning Board (five-year term) Jo-Ann Brown; Town Clerk Jennifer Morse; and Cemetery Commission Jim Taylor.
