Bulletin Board: Lull places 10th in WMass
Allison Lull has been one of the top two or three nordic skiers in western Massachusetts this season. On Tuesday, she showed she was one of the top 10 in the state.
The Mohawk Trail Regional High School skier completed the 5k course in 26 minutes, 56 seconds to place ninth overall at the State Nordic Ski meet at Notchview Resort in Windsor.
Lull’s finish helped the Warriors to a 10th-place finish out of 17 teams at the event.
Sarah Gokey came in 52nd overall for Mohawk with a time of 32:05, while Maddie Boucias came in 68th in 33:57. Heidi Phelps finished 70th in 34:13, and Abbi Yezierski placed 79th in 35:44.
On the boys’ side, Tyler Andrews and Tom Damery each finished in the top 25 to help the Warriors to an eighth-place finish out of 17 teams.
Andrews was the top individual with a 14th-place time of 24:22, while Damery came in 24th in 25:22. Aidan Sandvik finished 55th in 27:10, and Thomas Aurigemma placed 81st in 29:31.
Mahar middies win
Hannah Paul scored 5 points for Mahar Regional Middle School as the Senators defeated Greenfield Middle School, 26-24, Monday afternoon.
The game remained close up to the buzzer. Maddie Leary and Alivia Liberty each played well in the victory.
DRIVE AAU tryouts
Tryouts for the DRIVE Hoops AAU boys’ teams will be held on March 1 at Hopkins Academy in Hadley.
Boys in grades 4 through 7 will try out from 10 to 11:45 a.m., while those in grades 8 through 12 go from noon to 1:45 p.m.
Cost of the tryout is $10 per player. Parents are asked to bring the child’s birth certificate.

Rapid Fire 3-on-3 sign-ups
Collins-Moylan Arena will hold on-site registration for the upcoming Greenfield Rapid Fire 3-on-3 Hockey League on Thursday from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Cost for the season is $99 per player, and all Mite-Bantam players are eligible. The league runs from March 3 to April 6.

The Newt Guilbault Community Baseball League will hold registrations during the upcoming weekend.
Registrations will take place at the Montague Police Department community room on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, and Sunday from noon until 2 p.m.
The league is open to residents of all area communities except Greenfield, Mohawk and Frontier. Cost is $75 and bring a birth certificate to the registration.
