Bulletin Board: Frontier Middle School trims Hopkins
Brandyn Robinson led a balanced offense with 8 points to lead Frontier Middle School over Hopkins Middle School, 37-30, in a boys’ basketball game Thursday at Goodnow Gymnasium in South Deerfield.
Joey Hildreth and Alex Sharp each added 6 points for the winners.
GMS boys victorious
Nate Haselton netted 11 points to help Greenfield Middle School defeat Granby Junior High School, 44-34, in a boys’ basketball game Thursday in Greenfield.
Colin Cloutier, Owen Phelps and Ben Hernandez combined for 16 for GMS.
Ryan Sheelam had a game-high 14 and Keith Harris added 12 for Granby.
Greenfield girls win
Kirsten Ward bucketed 10 points to help Greenfield beat Granby, 22-19, in girls’ basketball play Thursday in Greenfield.
Raegan Hickey made two clutch free throws to seal the win.
Alumni nights at Pioneer
Pioneer Valley Regional School will host Alumni nights tonight and Friday.
All Panther alumni receive free admission to tonight’s boys’ basketball game against Mahar Regional School at 7:30, and Friday’s girls’ basketball game against Smith Academy at 7:30.
Turners coaches sought

EDGE AAU tryouts
The EDGE Basketball Club will hold tryouts for its AAU basketball teams Saturday and Sunday at Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield.
The tryouts are open to boys ages 10 to 17 as of Sept. 1, 2013. Tryouts will run on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-3:30 p.m.
The AAU season runs from March through June and the team will have a minimum of six tournaments during the season.
Cost is $350 per player.

DRIVE AAU tryouts
Tryouts for the DRIVE Hoops All-aroundU boys’ teams will be held on March 1 at Hopkins Academy in Hadley.
Boys in grades 4 through 7 grades will try out from 10 to 11:45 a.m., while those in grades 8 through 12 go from noon to 1:45 p.m.
Cost of the tryout os $10 per player. Parents are asked to bring the child’s birth certificate.
