Letter: Taking a stand
I wish to commend you on the excellent editorial page that appeared on Monday, Jan. 13, for its obvious commitment to taking a stand for turning around our U.S. policy on using military interventions as a strategy to bolster up our failing economic system, our image abroad among even our allies, and our role in the world as its superpower.
We have for too long abused this power in holding it as power over others, denying their autonomous governments, cultures and rights, at the unnecessary cost of lives, past, present and future.
Thank you, Tim Blagg, John Quigley and The Recorder’s editorial board for taking this moral stand. May your lead be an example to other media colleagues.
