Bulletin Board: Cloutier dunk Eagles

Colin Cloutier scored 16 points to lead Greenfield Middle School over Eaglebrook School, 43-33, in a boys’ basketball game Thursday night in Greenfield.

Tarrod Dobbins added 11 points and Nate Haselton chipped in added 8 for the winners.

Youth soccer

IAS U8 program

Indoor Action Sports will be starting the second session of its U8 Youth Soccer Program on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The program will run every Saturday at IAS from 9 to 10 a.m. through Feb. 15. Cost is $55 per player and is open to boys and girls.

Ice skating

DJ Skate event

FMC Ice Sports will host the third annual Winter Wonderland DJ Skate event at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield on Jan. 17.

The event runs from 8:30 to 10:20 p.m. and a live disc jockey will take requests throughout the event. Admission is $6 per person and rental skates are available for an additional $5 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Amherst College clinic

The Amherst College Baseball Winter Instructional Clinic is soon to commence.

The Hitting Clinic will take place on Monday from 6:15 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Calvin Coolidge Cage and will be divided into two age groups (9-13 & 14-16). The Pitching & Positional Play Clinic will take place on Jan. 15 from 6:15 p.m. until 8 p.m. and the clinic will be divided into the same two age groups.

Cost for one session is $60 and both sessions are $110. To register for the clinic, go to Amherst College baseball page. For questions, call 542-2284.

Umpire clinic

The Hampshire-Franklin Baseball Umpires Association will conduct instructional classes for candidates for membership beginning on Sunday and running through March. No class will occur on Super Bowl Sunday.

The instructional course runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at Deerfield Elementary School. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and the fee is $50.
