Poets of Franklin County: 2015 Poet’s Seat Poetry Contest

Tuesday night’s 24th Poet’s Seat Poetry Contest Awards ceremony, held in the Capen Room of Stoneleigh-Burnham School, was once again a night of eclectic voices, reaffirming the talent and vitality of Franklin County’s many poets. Daniel Hales of Greenfield was the night’s top adult winner with his poem, “How to Deliver a Toast.” Hales is an English teacher at The New Directions School in Northampton, and a songwriter and guitarist in two bands: The Ambiguities and Daniel hales, and the frost heaves.
