Open Swim Program: Turners Falls High School Pool. and Friday evenings, Feb. 23 and 27, March 2, 6, 9. Family Swim, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Adult Lap Swim, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Log onto montague.net for rates and other information.

Springfield Thunderbirds Game versus The Utica Comets, Saturday, March 10, at MassMutual Center, Springfield. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. (“Pink in the Rink Game” to help fight Breast Cancer.)  Check out western Massachusett’s new hockey franchise. Discounted tickets for all Montague Resident ($3 from each ticket goes to MPRD). Free parking in the Civic Center Garage. Fees: $17 per ticket; extras available, including a T-Birds hat for an additional $3. A separate registration form is available. deadline is  Monday, March 5, by 5 p.m.

Tee Ball for children ages 4 to 6. Child must be at least 4 before the start date of the program. Proof of age will be required at time of registration. April 21 to June 2. Saturday mornings 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fees: Early Bird registration fee: Montague residents $35, nonresidents $40 (Last day of early bird rates, Friday, March 23).; Regular fee  (Registrations after Friday, March 23) Montague residents $40, nonresidents $45. Registration deadline  Friday, March 30 or until roster is full.

Rookie League Baseball for ages 7 to 9. April 21 to June 2. Intra-squad games Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Fees: Montague residents $40, non-residents $45. It is recommended Kindergarten players start with Tee Ball before playing Rookie ball. This is a coach-pitch instructional program. All players must bring their own glove non-metal cleats allowed. Enrollment minimum:  10, Enrollment maximum: depending on the number of coaches. Registration deadline  Friday, March 30, or until roster is full.

Nipper League Girls Softball: The Purple Panthers for girls ages 7 to 9. Early April to mid-June. Practices weekdays, days/times dependent upon coaches schedule. Games vary week to week. Weeknights and Saturdays. Fees: Montague residents $65, nonresidents $70. It is recommended Kindergarten players start with Tee Ball before playing Nipper League. We are members of the Greenfield Girls Softball League and all games are played at Murphy Park. This is a coach-pitch program. All players must bring their own glove and non-metal cleats allowed. Enrollment minimum  nine, maximum 12. Registration deadline Friday, March 30, or until roster is full.

 Senior Girls softball: The Diamond Dusters for girls ages 10 to 12 Years. Proof of age required at time of registration for first-year players. Early April to mid-June. Practices weekdays and weekends at coach’s discretion. League games varies week to week. Weeknights and Saturdays. Fees: Montague residents $80, nonresidents $85. The Diamond Dusters are members of the Ponytail Division in the Greenfield Girls Softball League. All games are played at Murphy Park in Greenfield. All players must bring their own glove. Non-metal cleats allowed. Enrollment minimum 10, maximum  12. Registration deadline  Friday, March 30, or until roster is full.
