Marijuana sales

Sunday, June 18, 2017

While reading an article in the Boston Herald, from June 11, it came to my attention that the ballot question legalizing the sale of recreational marijuana “allowed for marijuana stores in any city or town in the state, unless the community holds a referendum to ban them.”

I seemed to have missed this and have not noticed any of our local citizens asking for my signature on a petition asking for a referendum in Greenfield. I have seen the effort to regulate where the store[s] can locate. This greatly disturbs me and says to me that our town would rather have the money that comes from selling pot than keep our town “clean”.

So sad.
