Whately man dies from injuries sustained in New Hampshire crash

ROCHESTER, N.H. — A Whately man has died of his injuries following a Sept. 17 motorcycle crash in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Kevin Komosa, 41, died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on Sept. 18 due to injuries he sustained when his 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle crossed the center line and went off the road. His 28-year-old passenger, Buckland resident Ashley Culver, also suffered serious injuries but is in stable condition, according to a statement from New Hampshire State Police.

State Police, along with the Rochester Fire Department, responded to the Sept. 17 crash on the Spaulding Turnpike Connector near the northbound Exit 16 off-ramp. Upon arrival at around 8:30 p.m., first responders transported Komosa to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, while Culver was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. According to State Police, neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

State Police Public Information Officer Amber Lagace said the crash remains under investigation and no further information was available Thursday evening.
