Montague, Feb. 16

12:29 p.m. — The store manager at F.L. Roberts on Third Street reported about $200 worth of lottery tickets stolen.

Greenfield, Feb. 17

1:16 a.m. — Sarabeth Welch, 36, of School Street was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. James A. Poudrier, 32, of Davis Street was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. The arrests came after the two were spotted allegedly yelling and cursing at each other in the School Street apartments.

3:47 a.m. — A person reportedly overdosed on heroin at Juniper Court. The person was unresponsive, but breathing after being given Narcan twice. The person was then taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by MedCare.

4:20 p.m. — Report of a missing person from Victory House.

Greenfield, Feb. 19

12:36 a.m. — Fernando A. Ortiz-Medina, 55, of Holyoke was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding, expired inspection sticker, unregistered motor vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was stopped on Deerfield Street, near Bank Row, follow reports of a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road.

1:03 a.m. — A 13-year-old boy reportedly assaulted staff at the Key STARR Program on Park Street. An individual went to Baystate Franklin Medical Center voluntarily, without a Section 12.

7:53 a.m. — Crocker Communications Inc. on Haywood Street was reportedly broken into, having tools and copper wire stolen.

12:08 p.m. — Willie Z. Jacob, 23, of River Road in Sunderland was arrested and charged with trespassing and disturbing the peace at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Shelburne Road.

Greenfield, Feb. 21

10:59 a.m. — Report of a male, wearing a black bandana covering his face, looking into windows of parked cars in parking lot off Olive Street. Police found suspect, a runaway juvenile. No stolen items were found and police took him back to Conway Street residence.

11:34 a.m. — Disturbance on Main Street. Report of a male assaulting a female, knocking her to the ground. Police located male, who denied being involved in the altercation. Later, at 2:19 p.m., police responded to report of a domestic dispute on Wells Street, where both admitted to being involved in earlier altercation on Main Street.

1:26 p.m. — Big Y Loss reports $350 worth of whitening strips and razors shoplifted previously, as shown on surveillance camera.

2:05 p.m. — Report of dog biting a 16-year-old on Conway Street. Youth was in Baystate Franklin Medical Center emergency room with minor punctures to left hand. Animal control officer told by family that dog was up-to-date on rabies shots.

5:53 p.m. — Caller reports her wallet was stolen Saturday and credit card was used in several places. More than $2,000 spent; under investigation.

Greenfield, Feb. 22

10:51 a.m. — Report that a half-pallet of organic produce, worth $1,400, was stolen from the loading dock at The Barn on River Street, at around 8:45 a.m. The report was that three men were seen loading produce into a mid-size, older red pickup truck.

6:53 p.m. — A caller reported she wanted to kill herself as the Franklin Recovery Center detox did not have any beds at the time. She hung up the phone before police could get more information. Within the hour they found her and brought her to the hospital on a Section 12.
